1 Peter 1 review

1 Peter 1
1 Peter an apostle of Jesus Christ to God's elect, exiles among the provinces of Pontus, Galacia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia; 2 who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father through the Sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood. Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, fade or spoil, but is kept in heaven for you 5 who by faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last times. 6 In all this you greatly rejoice though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire, will be found to result in praise, glory and honor when Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him you love him and even though you do not see him now you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. 9 For you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

10 Regarding this salvation, the prophets searched intently with the greatest care trying to find the time to which the Spirit in Christ was pointing when they spoke of the things to come. 11 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you who have now heard the message.

1 Peter so far:
written to the Elect Exiles
chosen to be...
Praise him living hope
eternal inheritance
shielded through faith
rejoice though suffer a little while
proven genuineness faith in trial
Faith love believe not see
end result of faith - salvation
Prophets sought salvation
Prophets served us

That's what I have got from memory.

Here is the scripture:
1 Peter 1

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia,Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood:
Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

God thank you for teaching me and giving me a clear picture of the simple picture of who I am:
Elect of God, an exile in this world.
Chosen by you God. Your Spirit brought me and continues to work in me.
Your desire is that I grow in obedience as I have been cleansed by the precious blood of Christ.
You have me new birth into a life of hope
You wrote me into your eternal inheritance that lasts in contrast to the riches of this world
IN all that you have done and who I am because of you I rejoice.
I rejoice in you in this life which only lasts a little while but I may suffer
But the suffering and trials are not meaningless: they are for the growing and proving of my faith - proving it to myself that I will believe and trust you God
For this is faith: this is maturity to love God and believe even when I don't see you even in the midst of suffering.
For I have fixed my eyes on what I am receiving from my faith - your salvation God.
This salvation is the turning point of history.
I have received the greatest gift in history the result of the greatest event in history. The keypin the cornerstone the person upon which the universes story hinges. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ upon which my faith and my hope and my life stands.

Praise be to God that this is what you have done and that this is who I am and this is how I can live as an elect chosen son of the living God for a little while away as an exile suffering but rejoicing to come home to my Father.
Amen!
