The mystery of God in Revelation

Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven. And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay! But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets."
(Revelation 10:5-7 NIV)

There are many great mysteries of God.
First I think is creation.
Second is Christ and the Cross which is Gods wisdom but foolishness and a stumbling block to the world.
And now here in the Revelation of Jesus Christ is again the mystery of God. As the old heaven and earth are destroyed God is making all things new. He is restoring and redeeming creation, humanity and even heaven itself.

We have been waiting a long time for this final mystery. The time of tribulation. The Second coming. The end times. The judgement. Eternity,

And yet though it may seem far off, it is urgent. For the work of God is urgent: to make disciples of all nations tribes and tongues. For together people of all nations will worship God in every language.

For each of us death and the end of all things seems far off and yet it seems alarmingly close sometimes. Let us be prepared therefore. Not by anxious hearts but by an honest and sincere faith that brings mission and love. That we might prepare our own hearts and our world in small ways to be more like heaven. For as we pray your kingdom come your will be done Father on earth as it is in heaven. Let us not wait to experience heaven but bring pieces of it into reality here and now, yet trusting in the promise of more to come. The fullness of heaven and the end of all things is coming urgently!

Praise be to God for who he is and the mystery of God which is Christ in creation, the cross, the resurrection, and the new creation.
Amen!
