Psalm 117: Praise the Lord All Nations For Great is his Love and Faithfulness

New International Version (NIV)

 ¹ Praise the LORD, all you nations;

   extol him, all you peoples.

² For great is his love toward us,

   and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.   Praise the LORD.^[a]

Daniel’s Thoughts:

Simple, complete, true and yet so difficult.

For not all nations know or want to praise the Lord even if they know of his name. Yet a time is coming when the Lord returns and every person will know him, every knee will bow and mourn because of him. Then they will recognize the King we have known all along as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Philippians 2:9-11

⁹ Therefore God exalted him to the highest place 
   and gave him the name that is above every name, 
¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, 
   in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 
¹¹ and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, 
   to the glory of God the Father.

Revelation 1:7

⁷ “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”^[b] 
   and “every eye will see him, 
even those who pierced him”; 
   and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”^[c] 
            So shall it be! Amen.

Daniel’s Prayer:

Praise the Lord!

Father your Son is not yet Lord of all

But he will be and they will know him and bow before him

Those who betrayed and crucified him will see him and mourn.

But every tongue will acknowledge Jesus Christ is Lord

All to your glory God!

For your kingdom will come and is coming!

Though this world is not yet covered in glory

It will be

Let us and let me trust in this promise

And trust in the future hope of life and your kingdom come

Here and now I want to see and bring your kingdom!

For great is your love and faithfulness toward us.

Praise the Lord!
